June 26 2019 Wasco Reserve defeated the Monterey Amberjacks 6-4 at WRPD Park, scoring three times in the seventh inning to secure the win. Both teams scored twice in the first inning, but Wasco added a run in the fifth and broke a 3-3 tie with its seventh-inning rally. Monterey answered with one run in the seventh but could not complete the comeback.
Scott Martinez led Wasco with three hits, including a home run, and two RBI. Charlie Padilla added a hit, two RBI and a walk, while Austin Hoffman collected two hits. Kash Mattson doubled and drove in a run, and Max Williams contributed two hits from the pitcher’s spot. Wasco finished with 11 hits and no errors.
Williams earned the victory after working all seven innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out two and walking four. Monterey starter Andrew Arnold took the loss, surrendering 11 hits and six runs, five earned, in 6.2 innings with four strikeouts and three walks. Nathaniel Thompson had two hits and an RBI for Monterey, which finished with seven hits and committed two errors.
