July 3 2022 The Tucson Saguaros scored 10 runs in the second inning and went on to defeat the Wasco Reserve 17-3. Tucson collected 18 hits and built a 14-2 lead through four innings before adding two runs in the seventh and one in the eighth. Wasco scored twice in the third and once in the fifth, but could not close the gap.
Chris Iazzetta led Tucson’s offensive attack by going 5-for-6 with three runs and four RBI, including two doubles and a triple. Brock Ephan went 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs and two RBI, while Patrick Music finished 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI. Caden Ledbetter added one hit, three runs and two RBI, and Richard Ware scored three times and hit a double.
Tim Jinks earned the win after allowing five hits and three runs, two earned, in seven innings. He walked two and struck out eight. Patrick Music completed the game with two scoreless innings, allowing no hits while recording one strikeout. Wasco starter Ryan Osborne took the loss after surrendering 14 runs, 11 earned, on 10 hits in four innings, with nine walks and one strikeout.
