July 1 2021 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated Wasco Reserve 17-5 behind a 20-hit attack at Albert Park. San Rafael scored in five innings, including three runs in the first, third and fourth innings, two in the fifth and six in the seventh to pull away. Wasco scored twice in the second and fourth innings and added one run in the ninth while finishing with six hits.
Dalys Binder led the Pacifics with four hits and three RBI. Ben Tsui went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI, while Kyle Ulanday added two hits, four runs, two walks and an RBI. Jarrod Dumont contributed a home run and five RBI, and Austin Fitzpatrick collected three hits. San Rafael also received home runs from Dumont and scored 17 runs on 19 credited hits in the batting statistics.
Dumont earned the win with a complete-game performance, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out 14 and walking four. Orlando Cannon took the loss for Wasco after allowing 11 hits and nine runs, eight earned, in four innings with five strikeouts and one walk. Derrick Carter followed with two scoreless innings and two strikeouts for Wasco.
Wascos offense included two hits and two RBI from Willie Barcena, who also hit a home run, while Daunte Freeman added a home run and two RBI. San Rafael committed no errors, while Wasco was charged with one.
